Sunday was Christmas~

For Christmas, I woke up next to my boy. not feeling too homesick and prepared for a nice day. I started the morning by making my first batch of chocolate chip muffins them getting ready to go out.

around 1, boy, our friend’s gf, awkward friend who speaks english, and I joined our friend’s family at his grave site about an hour out of Seoul. His gravesite isn’t a normal one because his parents are still living. so instead he has a nice tree at the top of a steep hill. we got to place flowers around the tree and our awk. friend gave some soju and cigarettes. his gf said some words from her christmas card to him.

then we set off to finish burning some of his clothes and belongings as a kind of final goodbye. everyone gave some memories as we stood around.

later, we headed to his parents house to have fruit and share more stories. they found his old planner and he had written in it till february. writing friends birthdays and when theyd meet. it was all very nice to sit in on and all the while making his mom feel much better too.

For Christmas dinner, we went to a nice galbi restaurant and ate tooooo much.

overall, it turned out to be a special Christmas.
